Press Release: Greg Bailey, Former Federal Prosecutor, Joins Margulis Gelfand

St. Louis, MO—Greg Bailey, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, a former officer in the Navy, and a former federal prosecutor with a decade of experience at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division in Washington, D.C., has joined the Margulis Gelfand law firm.

Greg joined the U.S. Department of Justice in 2010 through the Attorney General’s Honors Program, where he was assigned to the Tax Division’s Southern Criminal Enforcement Section. In his 10 years as a federal prosecutor, Greg prosecuted cases in 12 states, handling a wide variety of matters ranging from tax and financial fraud to narcotics, firearms, and immigration matters. He took numerous cases to trial and successfully handled several federal appeals.

As a Naval Officer, Greg served his country on warships and deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Prior to joining Margulis Gelfand, Greg conducted federal regulatory investigations in the Division of Investigations of the Office of Enforcement at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, a federal agency based in Washington, D.C.

Greg received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; his Master’s Degree in National Security and Public Safety from the University of New Haven; and his law degree from Catholic University, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and served as the Assistant Managing Editor of The Catholic University Law Review.
