Corey attended law school at the University of Richmond School of Law in Richmond, Virginia. At graduation, Corey was inducted into the “Order of the Barristers,” a prestigious honor society open only to those who have shown excellence in trial advocacy. After law school, Corey began his career at the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, where his strong courtroom presence was forged in fire amidst a heavy and unforgiving caseload. After handling multiple jury trials, Corey was recognized as a rising talent and hired as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, affording him valuable insight and perspective into both sides of the courtroom in criminal cases. This experience has instilled in Corey the ability to build a solid case from the ground up and to defend a case by identifying and attacking its foundation.
In 2019, Corey returned to his hometown of St. Louis and began his career in private practice representing clients in family law matters involving divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and guardianships. Rounding out his experience, Corey spent several years representing Missouri businesses in civil litigation, as well as representing Missouri lawyers in legal malpractice cases.
As a trial attorney, Corey brings a disciplined, strategic approach to emotionally complex and high conflict matters. Corey is known for his ability to distill complicated facts into clear, persuasive arguments for judges and opposing counsel alike. Corey combines meticulous preparation with practical judgment, allowing him to advocate fiercely in the courtroom while also identifying opportunities for efficient resolution when it serves his clients’ best interests.
When he is not practicing law, Corey loves spending time with his wife, young son, and dog. Corey also enjoys competitive sports such as basketball, softball, flag football, and soccer, and stays active with both indoor and outdoor rock climbing.
