Dan Lader

Associate

Dan, who has a graduate law degree in taxation, focuses on representing businesses and individuals in high-stakes tax litigation, long-term and transactional tax planning, and strategic business planning.

In private practice, Dan has personally handled complex litigation matters at both the trial and appellate court levels—and regularly assists the firm’s trial teams behind the scenes with complex tax analysis in civil and criminal tax cases.

Dan attended the University of Miami School of Law as a Dean’s Merit Scholar, and earned his J.D. cum laude while completing the Business of Innovation, Law and Technology concentration with a Business and Compliance track. During law school, Dan worked for a boutique commercial litigation firm and participated as a student attorney for the Larry Hoffman Greenberg Traurig Startup Practicum.

After receiving his law degree, Dan earned a graduate law degree—an LL.M. in Taxation (Master of Law in Taxation)—from the University of Miami School of Law. During his LL.M. program, Dan worked for a plaintiff securities firm. As the Florida Bar Tax Section LL.M. Scholar, Dan earned the Director’s Award in both Consolidated Returns and State & Local Tax and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Corporate Tax.

During his free time, Dan enjoys taking advantage of the South Florida weather (and rubbing in the beautiful weather to his colleagues in St. Louis and Washington, D.C.!): going to the beach, jogging around the many parks with his dog, and playing basketball. He is also an enthusiastic BBQ’er, and relishes days spent smoking delicious meals of meats and vegetables by the pool with friends and family.
